MYSTERY Magicians History

Mystery Magicians is a Los Angeles-based company founded by musician and engineer Arash Mafi in 2016. The focus of the company was to design innovative high-end studio equipment for musicians and studios. In the early days of Mystery Magicians, there were several prototypes of various products, including valve microphone preamps, compressor/limiters, valve spring reverb, plate reverb, program equalizers, and valve power amplifiers. After several positive testimonials from one-off builds, an early plan was made to streamline the process for mass production.

In 2020 friend and fellow musician Avery Van Der Steur, inspired by the vision of the company and early prototypes, relocated to LA from the Bay Area to join the team. In the following year, the pair perfected the existing M808A MKI version for their flagship product, the M808A Preamplifier.

OUR MISSION

Our passion is creating professional, innovative, industry-standard recording equipment for engineers and musicians around the world. We dedicate numerous hours to each project, with close attention to every detail, from custom-made panel meters to hand-wound audio transformers. We take pride in every small detail.

The Future
